    The cable is a serial cable that goes from the computer to the XMDirect to control it.

    Can you have more than one XM receiver listening on the same "account" you pay for a month? Say a friend and I wanted to share XM radio?
    CarPC install is starting to come along again...

    No. Each radio has a unique identifier/serial number. If you and a friend, buddy, spuse, life partner want to share an account, you can subscribe for $10 a month and add up to five addl radios (or is it total of five? - http://www.xmradio.com) for $7 a month.
