I can cancel if I don't like it, right? As in, have it for a month and if i decide I dislike it, get rid of it without paying next months payment

Yeah I asked them and they said if I didnt like it I could cancel any time.

    Guess i'm getting XM

    Found this one on ebay:

Do you have to go through some special registration process with XM to get your radio working with them? Or how does that work? Any advantage of going to a store and buying it? I found it at Best buy for $50, seems to be the standard retail price.

If I decide I don't like it, can I just sell the reciever on ebay? Or is that not alllowable since it has some sort of unique identifier code thing?

Once again, thanks for all the answers, and if you get tired of my dumbass questions I'll just call XM

Go to Best Buy and get it. You're radio ID will be on it.
There is an activation link on the bottom of the XM page
where you can buy your service. Your reciever should be
on until all the channels show up.

If you want to sell it. Cancel your service. This will deactivate
the unit and then you can sell it.

Will that work with the cable that I will be building? Good sound quality? And my antenenna HAS to be mounted on top of my car or could I put it in the back glass by my GPS receiver?

Oh and seeing as I'm 17, do I need to be 18 to have this service? Does it require a contract of any sort? If it does, does it pull credit? Because my parents are trying to buy a new house soon and can't do that.

I would suggest you put the antenna on your roof for best possible reception.

The antenna cable on XM automotive antennas is not much thicker than some heavy duty fishing line. And you get 22 feet of it. Its VERY easy to snake out under a door seal and onto your roof. And the antenna's are magnetic mount with a very strong magnet. Not to mention the antenna is very small. Much MUCH smaller than your GPS antenna.

it's very tiny, it's around the same size as a GPS antenna

I couldn't believe how small the antenna was. and it's even better that it's mag mount so I can move it when I go through the car wash.
