They seem to have the same 4" as parts express for cheap as well.. how long did it take you to get the LCD and what did shipping cost?
Ok guys this is it...this is bigger n better than the 5" Parts express and the best part....it's $220 shipped =)
the specs are in the website..i just got mine today and it's excellent. The ONLY thing that bugs me about it is the brigthness doesn't work as well as i would have liked. Setting the brightness to very low doesn't make the screen go black or even dim to a point you cannot see much..the difference from the lowest to the highest brightness is not much. I am sure someone can find a way to fix that...
anyway here is the link. I own a partsexpress 5" and this 5.6" is definitelly better quality =)

Will the image invert for roof mounting?
Took me 6 business days to get the LCD thats bec he is in east coast and im in west coast. The lcd doesn't have a flip switch. But that's not needed, all you do is just use the screen upside down. The mount can be removed easily also.

I noticed that the resolution isn't any higher than the 5" parts express LCD. However, is it possible to read a GPS, or anything with smallish text?
How did you go about flipping the image for roof mounting?
I don't plan to mount in on the roof. If you wanna do that i suggest you get the 5" from partsexpress but it can be done with this screen also, you just gotta find a way to attach it on the roof with some kind of hinge that will let you flip the lcd up or down.
I use mappoint 2001 or also street and trips 2001 by microsoft will work also. These are good bc they support most GPS receivers out there and also allows you to change the font on the map making the street letters big and visible. As far as i know those are the only two gps apps that let you change the font. Others you will probably have a hard time reading. Now im trying to figure out a way to attach that to my dash by using some sort of L shapped bracket and also make it removable so i can easily remove it and hide it.

Moahdib,
I have a 95 Firebird and was thinking about ordering one of those and making a bracket that fits around one of my air vents, but I have a few questions first. First, what did you do for power inputs into it? Does it come with a cigarette lighter adapter, or can you have to splice into the power and ground of your car? Second, would it be easy to build a ball and socket mount that could just attach to the back? Finally, where are the RCA and adapter wires located? They really need to put a back shot of that display on their website as well.
Thanks
The stand you see has a ball and socket mount on the back. The rca input is on the back and the power input is just a regular barrel connector on the side. It comes with the connector for the power you just have to splice the power to a cig. lighter adapter.
I am also trying to attach it to the front of the car in front of the vents somehow. i think i can tinker with the stand it comes with and attach it somehow. It's a nice stand the back is a ball and socket type thing so im sure you can make use of it.
