Copying filess from my digital camera....
Of course I don't have a CF reader with which to accomplish this, so it really doesn't matter...
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

I just found a benchmark, the highest I've seen is 36mb/s for a notebook drive. Now if u could create a flash RAID0...now THAT could be interesting. That would require some more hardware though. Guess my hopes are crushed of a quicker boot from hibernate.

TigerDirect has the incredibly fast CF cards, get a one gig, put XPMCE or XPE on there, with enough ram so that the entire OS can be buffered into ram.

Exactly... I have the MII 1000 with the CF and PC card slot .. I assumed that I could boot off either, not the case

I use the pc card slot for my orinocco WiFi card, and the CF slot would be good for transfering stuff between my Pocket PC but, it will be hard to get to when installed in the car.
I won't be buying an MII again
