    XM Trouble

Ok, I give up. I have to ask a question. I have been messing with this all night. I made my cable tonight, checked it like 50 times, have taken it all apart, resoldered, checked another 50 times, and nothing works. How do I know what port this thing is on? Should I see it in device manager? Frodoplayer take3 does nothing. I uninstalled, removed the directory, restarted, reinstalled. nothing. I have been searching the board, nothing that helps. Removed and reinstalled my com ports, nothing. Please help as I am getting very frustrated. Thanks.

Did you set the port for it in frodoplayer ?
Did you make sure the cam trigger or lockout was not set to the
    same port and enabled ?

You're not going to see anything in device manager, it's a
serial device. Are you sure your serial ports are enabled ?

    What do you mean ?!

Set it to the port it's plugged into or whatever the usb adapter is set to.

    Anyway, try this app:
    (set your port in comport.txt)

Thanks for your help. Trying something else helped alot. It gave me time to cool off and rethink what was going on. I checked my cable yet again and found that there was ground showing on pin 5 of the 8 pin din. I could not wire it so that that wasn't there so I ended up pulling the pin. The cable was for my ATI All in Wonder so I am sure they had something wierd going on there. Anyway, it works now! Just wanted to say thanks.
