The alarm & wifi may not be on the same frequency but would the harmonics from the wifi go anywhere near the alarm frequency?

Have you tried a different wifi unit that may not be so 'noisy'?

Also, I'm probably wrong but, I seem to recal some alarms working at around 2.4GHz?

I havent tried a different unit but i do know this little compex unit is a strong bugger. Coming from a highway to a suburban neighbor you can see it adding and deleting access points like its almost in realtime.

I know just having my pc running cuts down a lot on my radio reception. Ya gotta figure ya got a hard drive, maybe a cdrom spinning in there. Processor running, gotta put out some interfearance.
