    Simple firewire to atapi adaptor?

I am looking for a decent firewire adaptor that will power my dvd slim drive. Do the firewire ports have enough to power the dvd drive? If not is it west to pull 5v off of my opus power supply? I looked around some web pages but they all come in cases.. i am more interested in just a cable adaptor.

    thanks.

    A couple options:
    1) Get an enclosure and pull the electronics out. That actually MAY be the cheaper option.
    2) This place has one (the FU-SlimA), but they sell to OEMs only. If you can make a deal with an OEM to get you one, you're in business.
    3) Lava Mfg has one, but it's regular IDE. You would also need the slimIDE-40pin IDE adapter as well. Could be cumbersome.
    4) DAT Optic has one too. Same issue as #3 above.

the 6 pin firewire carries power to the device 500ma max. However is 500ma enough to run the cd drive? If so then were in business..
