    Installing an XBOX & N64

Hmmm I wonder, can you take apart an N64 and put it inside an XBOX case? Can you drill out the top and front for the game and port holes?

I thought and said why the hell not, 2 machines half the space. Then I got to thinking... put it in the car. I wanted an XBOX in there but I also remember Goldeneye and Smash Bros being well worth the effort to put it into the car also.

So could you do what I suggested before, one case 2 machines, but with CAT5 cable run 2 ports for the xbox up front, 2 for the N64 and 2 in the back for each again (ports 1, 2, 3, 4 respectively) and also run another CAT5 (or ribbon?) for the game port (for the N64) to somewhere up front.

So now u got an xbox (run a ribbon for the xbox DVD drive up front too) and N64 somwhere in the car, ports up front and back, with the ability to change games up front.

Basically cant you just solder wires to points on the boards and run the ports etc somewhere else?

    Neet?

i dont think you can put a n64 inside a normal xbox case....

also you may want to think about all this gaming in your car... your driving, your not really going to play games that much unless your stopped. Ya its cool for passenger, but if all they do it play games it might get distracting. If it was me, i could havea computer with alot of emulators, and have a inverter so i could plug in a xbox whenver i wanted and take it out whenever.

    Thats just my 2 cents

    p.s. it sounds cool tho

A carputer can be equally distracting, it just takes discipline to do the right thing when driving. I think your ideas with moving the ports, etc will work fine but get that carputer in there!

Only a fool who do it while driving.

And only a fool would want gaming in their car and not enjoy driving.

Me I love to drive, and stopping someplace to play some games thats not my living room, is tight.

I would of course begin with emulation, thats a HUGE part of my carputer system, all NES, SNES, Gameboy, Genesis and some MAME.

Xbox would be nice in the car too, why not, and the N64 why not. More games for me. And since i have yet to see any emulator go past the PS1 in terms of actual usability, you kinda gotta put the real deal if u wanna play the right games.

I would never let a passenger play a game while IM driving, thats my music time you sit there and SHUTUP!

    :P

For N64 just have a high powered computer with a good video card. It will play N64 games beautifully.

If you put a modchip in your xbox you can run a bunch of emulators on that as well. N64 emulator on xbox isn't perfect for all games, but for most you won't know the difference.
