Wireless USB Hub? Possible with BT??

    Want one of these.
is it possible or does the USB have to have connection with the computer for power or anything or is it just data transmission in the cables?

Know nothing about this just thought it would be good idea!!

usb has 5v/ground and data- and data+ four wires.. i don't think it would be possible.

wireless usb is coming out soon methinks, its going to have 480mbps just like usb 2 and its going to have a good 30 ft range just like BT..

actually when i said soon i ment more like.. eventually.. they are still working out the specs...

come to think of it, i've seen somewhere out there, a wireless usb dongle thingy.. i think it needs to be powered on both ends and its mainly used for printers....

I had thought about this same exact thing, but there is nothing that exists today. The reason is because the bluetooth dongle on the other end (on the hub, disconnected from the computer) needs a "processing" unit to handle and translate the communication from the PC through the BT device. Otherwise, it is just a "dumb" bluetooth receiver on a USB hub with no way of communicating. I guess what's needed is a small "brain", perhaps from a PDA or something, to actually interpret the signals coming through.
