    NO Sound w/ M10K [HELP]

Ok I was just about ready to install this board into my car and wanted to test my onborad sound first using my desktop speakers[2 speakers]

Plugged in the plug to the "line out" and nothing........i get a weird hissing noise and when i move my mouse it makes it even worse

Im using the latest drivers from EPIA Found Here I also tried the ones on the CD and still no luck.

I set the audio properties to "desktop speakers"made sure nothing was muted/low in the volume properties

Like I said Im only using this[desktop speakers] to test to make sure my sound is working. When In my car, I have a 4.1 setup using a 5CH AMP

    Any Ideas Guys.............thanks

You prolly want to plug it into 'line out' to get sound out to your speakers.

Have you verified that the speakers work properly with line-level output from another computer? You might also try a pair of headphones.

Is the AC97 Sound turned on in the BIOS? Did you check to make sure the lines are not muted in the sound properties...

Yea in the bios it only has a option for "auto" & "disable" - it is currently on auto

As far as the the lines being on mute - i check all that, i even just unchecked all then just to make sure

judo, what audio drivers are you using, did you have to do anything differently to setup this audio

this sucks I spent 2 full days doing the installing[running wires,amp,etc..] in my car, now I have this stupid issue holding me up

Nope, mine worked right away. But I doubt its faulty. What does the device manager say?

The device manager is good,no conflicts - all drivers are installed
When I get home Ill check what drivers are installed - and campare them to yours

Also At first I had the front audio cables setup with my c134 case - I had to remove 2 jumpers - I still got no sound with the front audio cables, i then put the jumpers back and removed the front audio cable - NO LUCK

I'm sorry about your frustration. I almost gave up with the project when I first received a dead mobo, a PS with a design flow that blew up and almost caught fire, and a hard drive that died after I had installed all the software, drivers, etc.

I didn't change any jumpers either. I used the default settings.

It looks like people already suggested the things I was going to suggest except:

Try testing the microphone and line in and see if you get any sound in.

I also sent you a PM on CL
