    epia m-9000 bios update problem

    i tried updating my bios using the windows utility, and it said all was well when it was done flashing. then i reboot and nothing, it powers on but no video out (either vga or composite)

    anyone know where i can get a new bios chip with the proper firmware on it? i called via and never heard back after leaving a message

    clear the cmos, then reboot

    yeah i tried that, the bios is messed up, not the settings....

    Do you get any beeps or anything?

    Also, if you screwed up the BIOS, try to "boot block".

    hmm,m only say that because, i did the same thing, it would boot but no output, then i reset the cmos, and plugged in a crt monitor instead of my lcd, and set up the bios that way to output correctly to the lcd, otherwise, i would get no picture at all from the lcd,

    i would try to use a crt instead of the lcd to trouble shoot it some more, if you havnt already done that

    if he have any problem flashing the bios the on-board video won't work.you have to try installing a video card with build-in memory(radeon 128mb,nvidia 256mb.....bla bla)
    Then shange the settings on the bios and restart.

    thanks, i guess ill have to wait till im home and have a pci video card handy.

    but yeah its a vga lcd. and no output, no noise etc. just drives spinning up
