I cant believe you sold your M for that tin can limo ride....tisk tisk....well let us know how your projektz..goes..hahaha...also..wondering if there is an aux input like BMWs?
ST34LTH - do ya thing. I mean it. Do ya thing. I stated I've been working non-stop (minus basketball season in H.S.) since the age of 15. While I've got a lot of 'stuff' I've made foolish descisions as well. I'm finally on the downhill battle of those descisions. Thats why I even started coming to this board b/c I need something different to do. I need a project to work on. This also might be more than 'just a project' since I'm thinking of starting up a car restoration/improvement job. Realty (did I spell that right) is at a good price in my area...its an idea.
And about what these guys keep talking about degrees = money ; NOPE! OJT (On the Job Training) has always proved to be the best bet for myself, being in the military helped myself out. I've learned its more about discipline in your life then using that discipline in the business world and as you had mentioned - its always who you know helps out A LOT!
Back to the issue at hand - which exactly do you want to do to this ride?
You want it to stand out right? Do you want it customized for yourself (for the next 5 years at least) or in general (possible selling it w/in 5 years).
This will make a HUGE difference on thinking what steps to take.
Here's my 2 cents:
Car Pc - of course, is the best thing to do. Have a touchscreen in front then have two monitors in the back (headrest) hooked up to a switcher (SAVIN - i think) which is hooked up by a ps2 and dvd player. This way someone can watch a dvd while the other plays games.
OR
touchscreen remote (sony makes one) in the back armrest that flip up out of the leather that will control the monitors in the headrest.....
I could go on and on...but let me know what you want it to do stand out or custom fit?

1st, thanks for some of your comments. Seems like some of you get it.
Some great ideas guys, I really like the touchscreens in the back idea. I want something custom but not to stick out. I want it all to look factory.

First of all, great start on the install. Even though I don't particularly like MB, it's a really nice car.
Second, something that would be good to get in you car would be some sort of OBD2 or I-Bus type thing (I don't know what MB uses).
Third, you should put some subs in that thing.
Peace,
Rafster
P.S. Maybe this thread should be moved to the off-topic section because of all the thread-jackers![]()

rafaelsherman : I agree. Unfortunatley, this thread has turned to trash because of all the people that feel like commenting on my current financial situation =\ At any rate I DO plan on using some sort of an OBD-II implementation in this car. I dont know just yet what I would like to do with it but I hope to know soon
antimatter : Thanks for your words. I should hope to have some more information soon on the document that I am coming up with that. After that, only a couple more mesaurements and I think we are go to put in an order for some hardware.
Thanks
