Thread: Reverse camera query: USB webcam or mini "spy" camera?

Can I have 2 web cams set up allowing me to select between 2 different video feeds? (I have two web cams, both of which are sitting on the floor next to me desk collecting dust. Seems like such a waste.)

I mean I might want to watch the engine bay at one point and the next minute want to see how close my tire is to the curb while I'm paralell parking in another!

You might want to consider a way to flip the image so its true when revesing this is easyky done with a webcam but you need a special reverse image camera if its composite.

What would people suggest for a front facing camera? Not fussed about a parking camera, just thought it might be quite cool to have a low to the road image being displayed on the screen like they do with racing cars on the telly. Would therefore want decent quality, at best (lowest) price.

Definatly a web cam. You may want to record something...

can someone point me in the direction of some good webcam software for our carputers?

get the motor from an old electric mirror then attact it to the cam and add the control to the dash then you can tilt and change the view

Yes as most webcams use VFW video for windows drivesr you can have as many imaging devices as you want within reason
