Anyone have any opinions on these:

They all seem to use sony superHAD ccd chips and some go down to .05 lux. The site there on seems kinda ghetto to me though.

I just used a webcam, and wrote a little sub-app for it in my front-end software. I think I could even do it full screen if I wanted to. I'll look around for some easy fullscreen webcam software.

Webcam image updates fast enough for me...

I have searched high & low & there is no device available that will flip the image of a composite image, seems simple enough & you would imagine it shouldn't be to difficult, but I have yet to find anything short of a full blown multiplexor that has this capability, If anyone knows of one, I'll take three... my solution is a multiplexor that I saw on ebay that also doubles as a pc interface with pcr capabilitys...costs a little under $200 last I checked, I'll look for a link for you guys & post it if I find it...

Your on the right track with these cameras, stay away from 1/4" chips & check the lens specs, for a wide field of view you want a 3.6mm lens, any less & you start to get the fish bowl effect & any more than a 4mm lens & the field of view will be to narrow, stick with the 3.6mm standard for wide viewing angle

I bought my camera from www.eddiescustominstall.com & they were great, prompt & carry high end stuff, there are many more retailers out there & remember you get what you pay for, don't expect a $89 camera to be as good as a $300 one...

380- lines res is a minimum to consider, I personally wouldn't want less than 420 & shoot for 480, but even a true 380 will blow away any usb cam i've ever come across...
