    IDE Flash drive

    Hey guys I found this

on http://www.afaya.com.tw/ its a flash drive that interfaces with IDE directly and has master/slave jumpers. This looks like it is perfect for those of us using minlogin/ewf. I am trying to find more information on it now. But a 512 mb drive costs about $90 us a little pricy but beats the hell out of adaptors etc. I a sure they can be had for less if we find someone in the us with them.

    Nice find.
They keep getting smaller and smaller. Would like to see a 2 or 3 gig for under $100..

That looks cool, I'd like to have one! I'm sure they will become more popular any word on the price?

I found a site in the UK that sells the 512MB version for $90US which seems high, and the rest of their products seemed a tad pricey as well. I have emailed the manufacturer asking for a list of their distributors.

Any idea if these have a limited life like compact flash cards? ie. 100 000 writes.

No word back yet from afaya. But it is a regular CF drive just with an IDE connector instead of your typical connection so same rules apply.
