A real handy website to check out is http://pinouts.ru/ . They have pretty much everything.

    J-link updated pin out

I know it's a late update to this thread, but it took me long enough to get the information too. Pinouts are from the labelling on the board itself. I'll be connecting up my cd changer direct this week and will post back when it's all working.

Were you able to get this working with this pinout?

    JVC J-LINK Changer Wiring

I just spliced into my J-Link Cable and found that all the pinouts listed earlier are correct. I was able to splice into #6 Right and #8 Left to run to my PDA, and I put a small toggle switch on #1 CONT to shutdown the CD-Changer when I am using the PDA.

    Pin# Wire Color What
    1. Yellow --- CONT
    2. Grey ----- SCK
    3. Green ---- SI/ISO
    4. Black ----- Grnd
    5. Brown ---- +12v
    6. Tan (Red inside) Right
    7. Sheilding on #6 & #8
    8. Tan (White inside) Left

    toggle switch

    hello,
I'm trying to create an AUX input into my hold JVC Car Stereo.
It has a CD Changer with J-Link connector.
I've bought a simple adapter with only J-Link connector at one side and RCA connectors at the other side (no unit logic), but when I plug an external input insted of the cd changer, nothing happens.

I think that it's needed a switch to enable the input signal as the CD-Changer do.

could you explain the way to connect the CONT pin ? I have to connect it to the ground or to the +12V ?

    Thank you.
