A real handy website to check out is http://pinouts.ru/ . They have pretty much everything.
I didn't have any connectors laying around so i opened up the unit and did some soldering
was a little trickier with all the weird kameleon motorization and such
any q's on the process - post me!
I just spliced into my J-Link Cable and found that all the pinouts listed earlier are correct. I was able to splice into #6 Right and #8 Left to run to my PDA, and I put a small toggle switch on #1 CONT to shutdown the CD-Changer when I am using the PDA.
Pin# Wire Color What
- Yellow --- CONT
- Grey ----- SCK
- Green ---- SI/ISO
- Black ----- Grnd
- Brown ---- +12v
- Tan (Red inside) Right
- Sheilding on #6 & #8
- Tan (White inside) Left
I'm trying to create an AUX input into my hold JVC Car Stereo.
It has a CD Changer with J-Link connector.
I've bought a simple adapter with only J-Link connector at one side and RCA connectors at the other side (no unit logic), but when I plug an external input insted of the cd changer, nothing happens.
I think that it's needed a switch to enable the input signal as the CD-Changer do.
could you explain the way to connect the CONT pin ? I have to connect it to the ground or to the +12V ?
