Ok, so I can see the need for grounding your mobo when you are using an inverter in the car to get power to the mobo; but what about when just using a dc-dc psu? Especially since the ATX plug has quite a few grounding wires....
When using the inverter you are taking dc to ac then back to dc, which could cause a floating ground, right? Ok so when you have dc-dc that floating ground isn't an issue, right?
so then would it be necessary to ground your mobo when using dc-dc??
just something we've been pondering since the last install.....
ok - so then a seperate ground isn't really needed when using Dc-Dc?
