need help with monitor display
recently i tried installing a harddrive on my computer to see if it worked. after i restarted my comp, not only did the hard drive not work but my display settings were at 640 x 480, 16 colors. i need some help. i downloaded the new drivers for my motherboard integrated graphices card. but i still cant change it. it allows me to choose higher resolutions and better colors but when i set it and restart a just get an error message that says i have choosen an unacceptable setting for my video card.

im trying to get it to work at 800 x 600 and 24bit colors
yes it used to work at those settings
