    slim dvd and 2.5" hard drive cables

    can someone confirm my suspiction that the cables for laptop hard drives and dvd drives are different? I purchased the IDE to IDE slim converter from this site, but it doesn't fit the slim dvd drive i purchased.

    You're right, I use this SlimLine to IDE-convertor:
