Variable Bitrate
no DVD picture w/ media player and nvdvd
I just installed Frodoplayer and NVDVD on my computer and the dvd player is not working. Here are the system vitals:
EPIA M10000
512m memory
DVD drive
Win XP SP2
Media Player 10
newest display drivers
When i open media player it plays avi files and when i open the DVD, it plays, but the screen is black. Same thing happens in frodoplayer and NVDVD the program. I remember something like this happening and it was a directx issue. I downloaded directx 9.0c but it said it was already installed. I have nearly the same setup on my desktop (XP, MP10, NVDVD, etc) and it works great. i
ed through the forums with no luck. is this grounds for a bios upgrade or a software upgrade? Thanks for any advice.

You're not having much luck are you? What with the network cable and NVDVD!! I don't know much about Frodoplayer, as I'm new to this incar pc stuff, but I should say it's not grounds for a BIOS upgrade.
I had a similar experience with NVDVD and my desktop.. I never fixed it and I just went back to WinDVD. Sorry I'm not being much use, have you tried a different DVD playback software? Try a demo from intervideo.com , just an idea then you could be sure it's NVDVD.

yeah, i wasn't having much luck but things are turning around!! i spent a couple months reading posts on here and i'm finally diving in. so far so good. The network interface is fixed, but i have no idea how. Also, my computer would shut off when using my opus power supply. i was even using a real battery, but i found out today that it was only putting out 11 volts, and it was signaling to shutdown. i have it on the charger to give it some more juice and i'll be only my way.
I'd like to continue using NVDVD if possible. i have it working on my desktop computer. I feel its a directx issue or something.
