tv out on via not working anymore?

hey..
ive got a via epia V10000 motherboard..
the tv out was working fine both comp and svid when i had the pc rigged up in my room..

2day i wired the pc into the car and the tv out isnt working anymore.. i had to put a monitor in the car to see what was going on..
in the dispaly settins where u gan chose the outputs. the tv option is greyed out.

why is this doing this to me.. i was so close to finishing

I have same problem. For some reason it automatically defaults to the CRT and/or LCD monitor (even after you have change the setting to the TV monitor) when you boot or restart the puter. Good thing I have my own personal "IT" guy, he says you have to update the bios from VIA. Although I have not done it yet cause I just ran into the same problem yesterday. I do know you can download the update from VIA on thier website to correct the bios but, it must be done on a floppy drive (and thats why I haven't done it yet cause I don't have one). I will try to check back to see if you need more help as I will have mine fixed by the weekend.

i want mine fixed now

the LCD option on mine is greyed out also..
the thing i dont get is it was working fine when i had it all rigged up out of the car.. have u ever had yours to work?

i was reading some thing on some site about people having trouble running 2 displays at ones.. they said if u unclick the crt option they got the the tv to work.. but i wasnt able to unclick the crt optoion when i was viewing it..

Only think can tell you is in bios set it to default values then set it up again with tv-out then see what happens?

Sorry iv got a via MII 6000E so its a bit different but if i remember corectly set crt instead of CRT/LCD in the bios

My memory is a bit fuzzy so im not sure but try default then set it up again

yep, I got mine to work testing it with my actual TV but it does defualt back to CRT when I reboot. As far as not being able to click on/off the LCD setting I am really not sure about that as I haven't had a problem with that. However that is irrelavent cause you want the TV out to work assuming you are trying to hook it up to a flip out monitor or such. I have not put mine in my car yet cause I am still setting it up.

mine was working everytime on the normal tv.. and was doing crt and tv dual displayt aswell no problems.. untill now.
would it make a difference if i use comp or svid? on my normal tv i used svid. now im using comp cus i dont have the right cable just yet..

i've just tried re installing the vga drivers.. and reseting the bios and setting it up again.. but still nothing..

i might give this bios update a ago.
how do i know what version ive got..
ive look on the via website and thee is 103 and 106.

Ok, like I said I had to correct this problem myself and the last thing I said is to update the bios - this is not necessary. Instead all you have to do is go into the bios mode (at start up) then go into ADVANCED CHIP FEATURES and you will see the SELECT DISPLAY DEVICE and change it to CRT/TV. Glad I could help!

I did that on my M10000 and my 7" LCD wasn't working...neither the TV. Very wierd these Epias...

Have you ever had it working with the LCD in your car?

The motherboard needs to see some kind of resistance for it to 'know' a LCD is connected... some small LCD's do not have enough internal resistance and your Epia board will not detect it.

I had this problem when I first set mine up. Solution for me was to solder a 75 ohm resistor inline with the cable.
