Epia Mii 12000 Issues

Im having some issues and i was wondering if someone knows why these problems are occuring. I cant get my second IDE chanel to work . Windows Xp tells me that it can't find enough available resources that it can use Code 12. Ive looked in the Bios and everything seems to be the way it should be. Is there somthign i am overlooking?

I am also having issues with my com ports and when i try to install a second video card. It tells me the device cannot start Code 10. Both com ports Com3 & Com4 say this error.

Hope someone can help....

is you second video card an S3 based one by any chance?

You are best looking on some multi-monitor sites for this one i think.

The problem with 'code 10' is normally due to the AGP being initialised 1st then the PCI but the PCI doenst like it (eg some old S3 cards). Try initiallising the PCI display 1st in bios. If you get windows feezing on boot after this then try a different PCI card or disable onboard VGA and run a duel head PCI card.

Best i can suggest i am afraid. As for the com ports you might need to check you have the latest drivers

Sorry left my thread for a while i had to do some work related stuff. Damn work. I found that my issue with these devices hapens when i try to install anythign in the pci slot. Although when i take the card out it still stays the same. I managed to get everythign working once but for the life of my i do not knwo how it just worked one time upon booting up. So i tried to intall a sound card trhis time and knwo my com ports and ide are messed up again and are staying that way. Kinda frustrating. Never had an issue i coudlt resolve. Might have to try a hammer soon. Any other thoughts on this issue?

Take a second and breath. Did you ever try to change the BIOS settings like the guy above you suggested? Also please type your next reply in english, thanks.
