all that info and not one mention of which ATI card...
Ok, working on my install Dodge Ram PC and I ran into a multimonitor display issue that I'd like to fix before mounting everything.
Whenever I enable the secondary display in windows XP and hit apply, it doesn't take. If I go into the driver control panel and enable the TV out, it will disable the VGA out! They only toggle back and forth. Can't get both to come on at the same time like with my laptop and other video cards I've had. Tried all the bios settings and numerous driver releases and there hasn't been a bios released except the original. Even ATI's own Hydravision program can't detect any other display. I bought this board because of the TV out (and the two $45 rebates). Going to suck if I have to add a low profile video card to this setup.
Hardware info below in sig.
TIA,
Rick

[H]4 Life
My next generation Front End is right on schedule.
It will be done sometime in the next generation.
I'm a lesbian too.
I am for hire!
That's because it's integrated into the MB. It's an ATI RC350 9100/9200 IXP 150 northbridge chip to be more precise. Sorry, should have included that before.

Please describe how you are enabling your second monitor in step by step details.
Display Properties, Settings tab, Click on the #2 window, click Extend my windows desktop onto this display, click Apply or OK. Display flashes, returns and the setting is unchecked again.
If I click Advanced, Displays tab and enable the TV there, the Monitor disables. Can only toggle between the two.
P.S. Thanks for the respones so far.

Sounds like a driver issue in that case. Try uninstalling and reinstalling them. Can you change the memor allocation to the graphics in the bios?
One mroe thing, you do have another display ont he video channel don't you?
edit: dude, could you make your sig use less lines it is a pain int he *** scrolling up and down checking what you have writen.
Thanks but I've tried the latest 5 versions of the display driver and ran a driver cleaner program between installs. No memory allocation in BIOS.

ATI or mobo tech support? Seems very strange. you got a spare HD you could install a clean version of XP on?
Maybe its a hardware limitation that it can only output to one at a time.
Nothing from Soyo, been waiting almost two weeks. Haven't tried ATI yet.
Looks like I'm not the only one with this problem!

Maybe a design or BIOS issue as you said. Well, thanks for your help anyway!

Check to make sure that HydraVision is installed. I had a dual monitor on a home pc before I got a larger 21" crt connected to a Radeon 9800Pro and had to install HydraVision. Worked great, but much happier with a 21" than one 17" and one 15".
