Could I use this for a Carputer?!?!

I was wondering if this would work as a Carputer?

Seems like a good deal if so...

Don't see why not. Would be interesting to see how it is powered. Looks like it could just need a 19V input like a laptop PSU - but you would have to add a shutdown controller.

I would be interested to find out what car PC software he is supplying with this........

Oh **** is that him??? That guy was an ***! Somebody act all innocent and ask about the software he claims to be able to supply - maybe we can trap him! Mind you he is probably still lurking around! If it is him.

I emailed him... He said that it's free software and can be downloaded from his webpage. He of course was very friendly in the email.

Funny how his website provides links to frodoplayer.com, fluxmedia.net, and nothing is actually stored on his site. He doesnt have his own software.

    Tricky issue.

He's not charging for free software and he is directing them to sites where they can get said software. The only real problem I can see with this is the influx of übernoobs to this site asking extremely inane questions like "Why does my computer turn off when I crank my car?", as well as bothering frodo and other programmers with questions about the software.

But don't you feel "good" about yourself when you or your knowledge get to solve someone else's problem? Plus, being an "übernoob" is all relative. We are all "übernoobs" compared to someone else with more knowledge.
