Well, for the AM/FM receiver part, take a close look at this long thread:
HU Quality AM/FM RDS/RBDS Radio with Features

It's interesting, and they're getting to the point of prototype hardware.

As for the TV, you'd need a PCI or USB TV Tuner card.

Ones with hardware MPEG2 or MPEG4 on board are generally better, but a software-based card will do sometimes.

I have an ATI TV Wonder PCI TV tuner card for my desktop, and the card itself is OK, but the software and drivers kind of blow.

Well, the card has a standard cable-TV antenna style connector on it, so you'd need to connect it to a suitable antenna.

They make TV antennas for cars, though I can't think of any off the top of my head.

And I wouldn't say I'd necessarily use this card in my Car PC, I just have it in my desktop machine.

hauppage is something that I have seen that is tv/fm via usb. Not sure how well it works. I may be trying it out soon on my setup. I only have usb capabilities so video card will not work for me.

No PCI slot in your motherboard?

Most Mini-ITX have at least one, and the TV tuners are usually low-profile PCI.

    Guilano,

No PCI in my computer. Its 5.75x10x2.75 inches its very small. P4 2.4ghz 800fsb 512 mb running intel 865g chipset. Only USB and firewire. This system is for my Dodge truck. I am also starting to build a system for my 1996 Baja Outlaw (boat for those that dont know what it is) That system will be based on microatx board. Boats have more room for this stuff than a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500

You can get a PCI riser card. It will expand you to two PCI slots. If you have an EPIA i know they have them avail because I purchased one.

my box has no pci slot capabilities. It was a p4 designed to be small. Claimes to be worlds smallest p4 compputer. It's been running on my desk at 2.8ghz for the last week with no problems. Just unfortunately no 800x480 resolution. However I dont think thats gonna be a big deal 800x600 looks good, and honestly I dont plan on watching DVD in my truck.
