I don't see why not. Since it has built-in video, that will save you some trouble with extra cards plugged into the board. Other than that, you can use any mobo, should be more or less the same.

I'd check the manual to see if it supports the mobile AMD to reduce your wattage for using with the Opus. I'd email or call opus about which version of the 150W to go with your planned setup. As far as the motherboard goes it should be fine. From personal experience and things I've read, get good quality name brand memory to avoid problems with the nForce2 chipset. They can be very picky about generic memory.

    No serial?
It maybe problem if you need serial connection. I know USB-2-Serial exist, but some of them maynot give the "true" serial as on board serial.
    Other than that it's fine.
AMD Mobile may work, but you may have to do wire mod like I did with the Asus mobo.
Opus 150 may be able to power this thing, but ask Opus for sure.
My 150W Sproggy doesn't power my setup well, but my 150W AC PSU power it fine. Because the AC PSU put out 18A on 5V rail and 4A on 12V rail and the Asus/AMD mobile combination use more power on 5V rail.

I was looking into this board a while ago (but cant find it very easily in the UK). The dual VGA out is nice but you do lose the serial - not sure if you can attach a header to the the board though. WOuld be worth checking the manual on the epox site. I think it may have manual fsb and mulitplier control but i am not sure. There is a sister model with svideo out instead of the second VGA.

EDIT: jsut read the reviews at newegg and one guy states there is no multiplier option in bios - bummer!

I don't have any idea if the OPUS would work with it, but that ASUS board you recomended to me has worked flawlessly for a month. I couldn't be happier with it.

skipjacks: did you get the opus to it, or are you still using the iverter? I might go with an inverter install again. haven't decided yet. i was also thinking on getting a costum case (make myself that is) and put the opus on it. but may go with a case in the end anyways. Darn. this planning stage is complicated. When i just bought parts like crazy it was much easyer. Thank you guys a lot for your input. I have to check the manual for serial support, but usually the mobo's have it. What do you guys think? which is more worth killing money on? PSU, mobo/cpu combo, or what? memory? let me know. I have a 200 WD harddrive, and a DVD burnenr. Let me know...
