Panasonic and MaPower users?

After going through hell trying to get my Panasonic slim-slot loading dvd/cd-rw drive to work with my MaPower case I've been trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. I can now get another drive to work with the MaPower case....but just not the Panasonic.....

I'm curious to know who and how many of you out there have been able to get the Panasonic and MaPower cases to work. If you have can you also let me know what the rest of your computer set-up is?

About the only thing I can come up with is that there is some copatibility issue here......seeing as how the case works with teh Panasonic on my home computer......

anyone?

I'm running the Panny 815 (DVD-R) in the Mapower. It works fine in the CarPC running on my desk (I haven't installed the CarPC in the car yet).

Win XP Pro (SP1) - I refuse to touch SP2.
The XP install was installed with nLite (although I don't have the details of what I included to hand).
