A powered antenna isn't a bad idea, it's just I don't have the room for it in my car. Hmmmmm, maybe there's a way to power the aerial I have now ...

I found no where to mount it as it didn't work well from the rear shelf.
    Hey man

I havent worked on it since the last meet i'm still waiting for that dmn cable for my new headunit lol months and months later

I don't have much money nowadays it's being spent on a personal trainer

but my carpc is useable it's just sitting in the backseat for now till i get money and time to install it in the boot.

Damn don't like hearing about it not working on the rearshelf

i was gonna attach it to the underside of the shelf but i guess the rear demister is stoping the reception.

I'll have to try another method i might see how bad the reception is if i use the car as an antenna it probably won't work but no harm in trying

Are you coming to the next car meet? i trieed to Pm u but u turned it off

Well M^ck^y and i both have coupes and it has a parcel shelf so we could attach it easily but it looks like it wont work.

Using the antenna you have in the car now is useless its not designed to pick up UHF etc.

I'll see what i can come up with and post back here

I just found this on ebay

It works like the rear defroster it sticks on the window as thin strips.

I could just replace the aerial that's there now and put something in that'll work. Using something that goes on a parcel shelf or attaches to a rear windscreen isn't an option. When I say I'm pressed for space, I mean I'm _really_ pressed for space. And I know I don't want to read up on antenna theory; I've looked before and the books are big.

I bought a tv tuner card for my car pc.. I ended up giving up and just installing a sound blaster in that slot.. It's realy not worth it.. It varies too much when your moving.. Even in a caravan you need a decent size antenna on the roof for any kind of good reception.

I got a mate with a M3 BMW with Built in TV tuner and still the reception is average and that's purpose built.

Anyone know of where I can get a diversity antenna in Singapore? Or perhaps the "best" brand and model of a diversity antenna for a car on the market as I don't want to fuss too much with price. Just buy it!

    Thanks.
