I like the bluetooth speaker and mic setup .. that would be great... especially if it is noise cancelling..
It will probably be big bucks..
More then likely. Atleast they are heading in the right direction with the bluetooth technology. I'd like to see bluetooh headphones...Originally Posted by Don 944 LA

that this is cool - all you need now is the pictures from your phone book coming up too so you can have the wife glaring at you in the mirror - scary!
Just thought - would it be possible to make something similar using a second sound card (as i plan anyway) and one of those rear view mirrors off ebay with the 5" LCd overlay?
Idea is:
I am planning on using my onboard sound for GPS and phone through a headrest speaker instead of wasting it (using USB audio for music)
If you then hook up a second cheapo PCI card or if you have tv-out and it can do extended desktop - hook this up to the 5" mirror LCD.
Set your phone software to always appear on the rear view mirror when it pops up and also the GPS direction arrows (like the ones to send to a character LCD thingy)
That would be pretty bling. YOu can then jsut have answer and end buttons mounted somewhere.

Has anybody used one of these mirros?
Geeks.com has them for 107.00 landed.

The description says it has echo canceling, but does the mic have noise canceling?
how good is the speaker sound quality and volume? I can't hear for **** so I would need good volume.
How well can the party on the other side of the call hear you? Garbled, tin can, or clear?
If anybody has one of these, please let me know your thoughts. Many cities I drive through now have cell phone laws, and a ticket for having a phone in my ear is not really needed.
I thoguht about a BT headset, but having something like that attached to my ear would bug the **** out of me.
Any thoughts, comments, etc much appreciated.
Thanks
Amazon has it too, through Geeks. A little more expensive, but if you have an Amazon gift cert: http://www.amazon.com/-One-Bluetooth...524829?ie=UTF8
