Removing Pug 306 Factory Stereo

I've just spent the weekend trying to get my factory Pug 306 stereo out to replace it with my MP3 player.

But all I seem to have done is bent and scratched a lot of plastic.

Can anyone give me some clues how on how to get it out?!

Looks like I'll be doing some jabbing later then with some metal prongs.

Almost bought a haynes manual off ebay to work that one out.

Best tool i found was a swiss army knife - use the bottle opener and then the large blade and do one side a little at a time twisting it out.

EDIT: OMG another pug 306!
