    Relays

    The relays that i have seen are all for low powered tasks. What would i need to say switch on a 230v appliance from the pc?

    Find a 230v capable relay. If you want rapid switching, then go for triac.

    what in gods name do you need a 240 volt line, computer controlled hot tub?? lol, yeah like he said any relay rated for 240, but you need to look what is the switching power, and the amperage of it or you will melt the contacts trw www.mouser.com
