download deccheck from microsoft. See what decoder is set to default. Then set the one that you wish to use. There are several good ones out there. I use intervideo video decoder.

OK so when I try and play a DVD, I can hear everything but I can't see anything. I'm running XP Pro with a Panasonic CW-8123-B Slimline Slot Loading CD-RW / DVD drive. I've tried multiple DVD players, including Windows Media Player 9 and 10, Cliprex and a couple other misc ones.
I have what I believe is all of the current codecs and updates for everything.
I'm stuck and not sure where to go now. Anyone have any ideas??
