as long as you dont use more then a total of 12.6 ft of cable you should be ok. More then that and video will degrade drastically. So if you have a 6 ft cable on the back of the touch screen you will only be able to use 1 extention cable.
hi to all, i am planning to move my carputer from under my seat to the car's trunk. i have a xenarc 700 tsv touch screen monitor, i am wondering is it ok to just use a vga extension cable to run my vga to the trunk, also i am planning to use a usb extension cable for the touchscreen. will this have any effect with the quality of the signal compared to buying the 5meter xenarc vga cable? thanks

Wait a sec.. Can someone verify this? I know alot us have installs in the trunk. I strongly doubt i could make it to my trunk with 12 feet and i have a midsize sedan. I was planning on getting at least a 15 foot. Anyone else have extensions longer than 12 feet?
I am using 3, 6 foot extensions for both the VGA and USB, not a single problem.

Installed.

-AltTabber2.2.2- - Handy touchscreen utility.
I had a 20 footer vga with no probs.Originally Posted by xBrady

thanks for the tip again, yeh i did not buy yet coz i was wondering if the 6ft would actually reach my trunk, its a good thing that going longer than 12 feet is no problem.

Make sure it's properly screened, other wise it will cause interference.
