I've spent the better part of today looking for this info on here, and it came up with nothing, so I'm going to ask. I am molding a 7" Lilliput non-touchscreen in my car.

I started the project with the intent of screen and dvd, maybe my XBOX, but that was it, I was slapping my itchy mouse finger to buy a whole carputer setup. As I have found fabricating my dash, I realized that I want a fricken carputer setup bad. The only catch is, I don't want to buy another screen (touchscreen). So I found that the VIA EPIA M10000 has a TV Out port on it. My question is can I use that port to put video to my screen, so I don't have to use the VGA or am I SOL and need to buy a touch screen?
I figure that I can get either an add-on touch screen overlay, or I can use a mouse of sorts, but my main concern at this point is the video quality using the TV Out, instead of a VGA port. I know that generally when I use VGA over TV Out on my computer and laptop, the TV Out quality isn't as good, but when I watch things on a smaller TV, it looks better.
Could I just plug my Lilliput into my PC and look at it? (I'm at work and can't now) Sure, but I figured it might not be a bad idea to get it documented on this site unless it already has been.
If this doesn't work, can I buy a 7" Lilliput Touch Screen, and continue to use the bezel from the non touch screen to have it all fit?

Can you use the TV Out on the M10000 and display it on the 7 inch non VGA liliput? Yes
Will you want to do this? No
As far as will the case that you have already started working on fit a VGA/touch screen liliput, I have no idea.
I am using the TV out with a 5.8 inch non VGA LCD, and it isn't all that good. I am just doing that to see what I want to do and where I want to put things, but for anything involving text it isn't good at all.
The graphics on the M10000 are poor even on VGA, I can't imagine on video...
Well I have been using video out now for over a year, it's not the best in the world but it's still good when I use my mp3 player and gps software. I'm still thinking about moving to vga but video is working fine for me, check out my link with a pic of my old sony unit running via video, not the best picture in the world "meaning the picture I took of the unit"..
How can I put this, the VGA on the M10000 is similar to the video out on my geforce fx5700 card at home. Now if the VGA is poor the video is worse. Get the picture? Now, for movies and games, sure, it's good. Not to mention you'll have trouble getting the video out on the M10000 to work...
damnit, ok, so that solves that question, now can I use a touch lilliput with the non touch screen bezel?
