    How to power a slim DVD

    EDIT: On the Slim to IDE adapter there is a floppy connector for power. Use the 5V line and GND for 5V to power it. I was a little afraid to try it at first but it works ok.

    This is what I'm using with my Panasonic slot load...

    Has input for power from ps2 but it works without it. Snags power directly from USB..
    Sounds like you're using the slim drive in your case though so this wouldn't help? Not sure. I'm using mine externally with a 16ft USB cable.
