Hello,
I am starting my car PC project and I can't understand one thing: Why are so many people spending big bucks on these "car PCs" when you could just get a cheap used laptop (around $400) that will do the same? Is there any disadvantage to mounting a laptop in the trunk and running the display (touchscreen LCD display) to the front?
Will I have issues with the internal parts of the laptop bouncing when hitting pot holes?
Has anyone installed a laptop in their car (as opposed to actual car PC)?
This question is asked often. There is a thread currently underway on it. Try the search box and enter terms: "laptop vs desktop".
