Yep, it could be causing static.
can a car pc ruin radio reception. I have my Pc in the trunk of the car, and a manual in dash screen up front. But for some since i hooked up the car pc, the radio reception on my pioneer premier deh-940mp has gone to the crappers. There is constant static in the music.
is there a way of fixing it. all the power wires are running on the other side of the car from the audio rcas. I have ruled out the lcd screen causing the interference because if i turn off hte screen, it still has the static.
i would suggest getting rid of the pioneer. I dont even have a carpc hooked up yet and mine starts to static when my subs are on and the volume is up.
How is your computer housed?
Consider adding additional layers of metal to the case and if possible, get the case to sit flush against the cars chasis
