Video problem...Need help before I pull my hair out!!!!!

I need some technical support from any experts out there...I hooked up my LCD to the motherboard using the built in rca jack but the problem is that you can see these faint lines scrolling up the screen...Also the letters for the all the icons are very fuzzy where its so hard to read anything...My friend has a lilliput that looks amazing where everything is so sharp but i do realize there is some loss of quality when using rca jacks but i dont think it would be this much...Also the black border around the screen remains which turns my 6.3 inch screen into a 5 inch (resolution 800 X 600)...I wanted to know if there is a setting that i can play with to fix all this...I have read some other threads talking about messing with the BIOS but dont know exactly what to mess with...Or do you think my mobo has a bad rca jack or something like that...If this is a problem should i use the s-video jack and convert that into the rca for the screen...I just want this to look somewhat sharp well atleast sharper than it is because i cant do anything in windows because i can't read it...Is there such a thing where a VGA cable can be converted into a rca plug on the other end, if so does anyone know what the cost of that is...I appreciate any help...

the faint lines scrolling up the screen are likely due to a ground loop.. short answer: search for ground loop lilliput or something,

long answer, make sure your lilli is grounded well (fatter, thicker ground wires are always better).

sorry can't help for much else.

You aren't ever going to get a great picture with that monitor. It isn't capable of displaying at a resolution that will render your text very well. What you can do though is play with the refresh rate some and try running at 640x480 to get as much area as you can. To get 640x480 you may have to click the list all modes button under the adapter tab in your advanced display settings.

Thanks i will try that...I really dont think its the monitor thats the problem though because it does the same thing on other TV monitors that I have tested...I use to have a via epia hooked up to this screen and it looked fine before...So the quality of the monitor shouldnt be an issue...I'm not using an actual video cable but a triple shielded sound cable and one of buddies told me that that could be the problem...Does anybody know if there is a big difference between sound cables and video cables or are they just color coated differently...
