how does this carputer setup sound?

ok not sure if this is the right forum or not so forgive me if im wrong.

while reading these forums ive noticed that there are pros and cons for going with a Via EPIA Mini-ITX, but i was wondering if this setup would work.

VIA EPIA MS 12000 motherboard
Morex 60W Vehicle PSU Kit
a 20gig Laptop 2.5" Hard Drive
Panasonic SlotLoad DVD-CD/RW drive
512mb PC2100 Ram

im mainly going to use the carputer for DVD, MP3, Music Video, and regular CD.

any advice or input would be great!

ditch the crappy psu for something like the m1-atx or an opus, otherwise looks good

I guess you will be fine even with that Morex PSU. Do not worry. Well... unless you need a shutdown controller.

I agree, everything else looks fine but you'll want a different power supply.

I'm a fan of the M1 myself.. 've never used an opus.. but they seem similar.. but the M1 is cheaper.. (I think)

M1 is half the price of the 90W Opus. I hope I didn't just make a mistake by not springing for the best.

will the computer onboard-video be good enough for DVD playback and other Media playback or will i have severe slowdown? just asking.

and exactly what would i need a shutdown controller for? lol, im a noob!
