    So how does this work? Says it needs:

    An XM-ready car stereo head unit and that it must be installed with an XMDirect Smart Digital Adapter.

    I'm assuming that the XM-Ready headunit can easily be replaced by our CarPCs and some software (i think frodo wrote something), but how much is the XMDirect Adapter? And is that all that is needed to successfully get XM to work (except for the subscription).

    you dont need the adapter, you just need to build or buy a cable

    sounds like fun! Ordered the tuner, now I just have to go home and see if I have my old Mac printer cables.

    suppose ya cant get away with putting the antenna somewhere on the inside huh? i'd rather not have any antennas on the outside of the car...
