    Overclocking EPIA's

    Hello,

I have a Computer In the Car, I use the EPIA 12000
    this is a link, http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/722913

I have found that a software called SpeedFan had control over my EPIA 12000 FSB, Speedfan also has other cool functions.

I can control Overclocking amount based on CPU Workload.
If Cpu Above 60% then It will ran at Overclocked Speed.
If Cpu is Lower than 60% I have the CPU to be underclocked.

It also shows Tempature in the System Tray.

Best is to download and install it, then experiment with settings, I have got upto 150MHz from the FSB and is stable.

    This is the Link:

    Goodluck..

I don't own an EPIA, but I can second Speedfan. It's a good program for monitoring system temps, adjusting fan speed and (aparently) adjusting the FSB, though I've never needed to adjust mine. Can't beat the price of it either. (free)

Why on earth would you overclock a car pc? Isn't the environment already big enough of a punishment or do you expect to play doom 3 on it?

    Invalid thread.

There is nothing wrong with overclocking in a car. If you have an epia 800 then you will be running pretty cool and not using much power and the 800 is slow so you can overclock and could do with it. In a year the 1200 will be the new 800 and will be slow so people will want to overclock that,

It still makes more sense to use an overclocked epia then a P4 in my book. The power will still be lower, as would the heat profuction. You just have to make sure the overclock is stable and you can get rid of the heat.

being that having a database of say 7-8 thousand songs.. takes a while to sort them! duh!!

Having workload based overclocking is great for this reason... download it and maybe you simple little brain will learn something.

makes things a little faster when needed! Why wouldn't you want a little extra juice when it FREE! (cdm YOU ANNOYING LITTLE *****!)

    Go and sook somewhere else..

    P.S. Doom 3 is craptastic!

Grow the f up kid, learn to spell, then come back and try to insult me.

You sort the database once. Then it stays this way.
