I have also had the M10k in my car for one year, and I can also agree, put a push button in the dash somewhere so you can reboot it! You never know when you need to reboot it after its crashed, while mucking about with dodgy software!
I used a 80gb hard drive mounted next to the PC, mounted verticaly under the dash. No problems.
    Used a Xenarc, no problems.
Still use a Griffin Powermate for volume control. It still rocks
Got a DVD/CD burner combo drive. Still havnt tried burning a CD in it!
And I can really recommend NOT using the onboard sound, use a external USB sound card, like the audigy 2nx. Ive used that, mounted in the boot next to the amp. Sound is just perfect

Very nice job. I too have a 98 Jeep ZJ. I have all the parts together for my own car computer (Nehemiah, 100 GB 2.5" Seagate, Lilliput, etc).

I'm planning on mounting the Lilliput in the same place you have yours with one exception. I was thinking of not using the Lilliput face but building one out of wood and bondo much like on this thread:

    2001 Jeep Cherokee Lilliput

I thought I would mount it low enough so as to put a slot-load CD/DVD drive directly above it. I was also considering mounting the Mini-ITX board behind the Lilliput. It looks like there might be enough room there. But having seen your arm rest mount, I might go there instead. Mine's just currently full of junk anyway.

Any input or tips for the fellow 98 ZJ owner would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I also bought for mine a external USB digital TV card, which worked great in the house on the TV antenna...but sucked in the car! Had to give up on it.
It was the USB DVB ter 2.0 from Vision plus.
