    For you P4 guys!

    From computoredge.com

The online site Legit Reviews says that a new device from Asus called the CT-479 CPU Upgrade Kit will allow Intelís Pentium M processor to be run on existing Socket 478 motherboards.

A bit of background: Recently, the Pentium Mobile processor has established itself as the powerhouse of Intelís processor family among enthusiasts and corporate users. It also runs far cooler than legacy P4 chips and, as a result, requires a smaller fan. Unfortunately, it has 479 pins and will not work on any existing desktop boards.

Legit Reviews notes, ďAt the end of 2004, companies like DFI and AOpen launched micro-ATX boards that supported the powerful Pentium M processor. While these boards offer new possibilities to consumers, they are still based around the expensive Intel 855GM chipset and, therefore, boards like the DFI 855GME-MGF are still priced at $215 for just the motherboard and heat sink.Ē

At an expected price of less than $50, the CT-479 aims to bring the quiet, cool performance of the Intel Pentium M Socket 479 notebook processor onto Socket 478 desktop motherboards.

Yeah, refer to the previous thread for why it is not so amazing.
I have found you an argument; I am not obliged to find you an understanding.
