i was just on ebay looking for oen.. then saw this thread. I have yet to understand this, but why do people place a bid on something 4 days before it closes?? If everyone just waited you'd get it cheaper

Well there are many ways to look at bidding on an auction. When waiting right before the end, you may get it cheaper, but it is harder to win because its a race to bid high at the end.

Usually if I bid early it is because I believe it may deter some people from bidding. When I look at an auction, if I see that someone is bidding already then I am detered because I know I will have to have a bidding battle with someone, effectively raising the price.

Normally I bid early and then set a bid snipe just in case someone would like to out bid me late in the game. But what it all comes down to is who is willing to pay the most.

There will always be another one.

tbird2340: That is a decent looking picture. How much was it? And, Do you have any night shots?

Hey tbird2340: is the overall camera image 'deformed' (stretched) horizontally in your 16:9 Xenarc screen? I would think this camera's native format is NTSC 4:3 aspect ratio, and that the Xenarc stretches it... correct?

justintime, I'm not sure.. Logically I would say yes, you are correct. The thing is the POV is 120* so it always looks a little weird, know what I mean?

He has excellent customer service. I paid $57.99 + $12 SH = $69.99 but it looks like he's lowered his prices a little. He's charging $49.99 + 12 SH now...

Hey, that dvoneb guy also sells a similar camera with infrared. I couldnt tell if this is the same one that the original poster posted. Can anyone verify? The seller doesnt specify whether its CCD or CMOS either...but judging from his auction pictures, it looks like a CCD image quality. Can anyone shine some knowledge? I guess i can email the seller and ask...but im lazy right now.
