for that price, i could just use a nice 5.25 cdr/dvd drive... $adapter 6.00, plate adapter $41.00...
theirs got to be a better deal out thier..
why would you want a 5.25 plate anyway?.......why couldnt you just use an actual 5.25 slot load?

i have a real nice cdr/dvd/rw slim drive, and i believe it uses less power then full size unit, but might be wrong..
it uses 5V instead of 12V like the full size drives. get some sheet metal from Lowes or something and bend it or cut it yo how you want it and drill holes for the mounting screws.
well ive done the reasearch also, so just for any future MP3car users looking themselves... i found it for 39.00 and it includes the ide adpter unit also.. and free shipping... this is more reasonable, but still for the price i could buy a new cdrw/dvd drive online somewhere...
