Ground to anything thats metal and attached to the bodywork or chassis- only run it back to the battery if your running obscene amounts of amplifiers.
if you already have an amp set up you may want to miss out the amp remote, its just a low level voltage trigger to turn it on, if you already have a head unit you intend to keep you wont need the remote out. If you do itll just be a long wire and a ring terminal (a 10c crimp) at the amp end.
Dont cut the molex off, just get a blank male one and crimp/solder it to make a proper lead that you can use in any molex- I used a cheap cigar lighter adapter and cut the cigar plug off, added the male molex to the cut end and used the right sized power plug on the other end.

I have a Y splitter molex, I think I can use that. I think I can also use the ignition/accessory wire that was formerly going to the head unit, which will make things easier for me. I'm putting in two amps and a sub. New to the audio stuff too, at some point you just get sick of searching for stuff, ya know? Thanks for the tips!
