I will put it to a good test today to see the difference in sound with 1 RCA or a split mono RCA channel.

No. I have to check the CMSS setting AND the Equalizer each time i restart. It sounds kick *** when they are both on, no doubts the quality is there, just a real pain to go through the process each time I start up.

I asked this question in a different thread but want to address it again. I think a real easy fix to this software would be a small program that runs at start up that mimics mouse clicks. A Macro program of sorts. I hear there are a few out there and I also hear Girder does this. Sound complicated on Girder. Anyone have an idea? 01331 suggested Navivoice. I just want a mouse macro program. This would fix this problem for eveyone.

silvart, that's my point, it doesn't matter. He didn't need to go find an adapter for it, but if he has one, fine.

    jedi,
It will be complicated no matter how you do it. Girder will probably be the easiest way. I can't write an application to do it because no longer have an Audigy. I sold it precisely because of these two problems (CMSS and bass redirection).

Now I have a PCI Audigy 2 with the kX Drivers (in my HTPC too) and everything is perfect. You can use those kX drivers to do ANYTHING.

    edit: Look at this:

    Agreed. Sorry for the confusion.

With the kx drivers, is the standby issue resolved? I guess they simply lose the entire creative software and drivers and do everything on their own, so I assume it can do the 5.1 upmixxing and maintain settings when resuming from shutdown/standby etc? I pretty much know the answer is a yes. This has been my biggest dillema with my setup too, as I have a micro atx computer I could easily swap out for my laptop and resolve so many stupid issues....

I should note that the kx drivers are only for non-usb pci devices.

I think Creative should send those kX guys a big fat check, because I wouldn't be using any Creative hardware were it not for them.
