Phidgets compass

Would this sensor work with Phidget's interface kit? I think it should, since it's said to work with 3V and 5V applications.

I don't know much about the phidgets but it should be possible to make that sensor work with just about any microcontroller. SPI is a one-wire serial bus that can easily be implemented on a free GPIO line.

Magnetic compass sensors won't work reliabily near large metal objects (like a car) or other sources of electro magnetic radiation.

yeah you could just put it between the two huge metal balls that large metal ships use for their compasses. that'll straighten it out

this compass from PNI will NOT work with phidgets... as mentiond above it can be used with a micro that has a free SPI line. Phidgets dont have features like GPIO line and SPI.

Is there some Phidget-compatible, USB or RS232 compass available? So far my
