System Cooling

Since the system is going in the trunk of my car, I started to think of ducting air.
What are some of the bright and (not so bright) ideas you guys have come up with?

if you are using a regular case try something like the pic below. The fans are red. placing them like that will have better flow inside the case and throw out the hot air more easily.
a bit more info on your setup though will help finding the brightest idea :]

Actually, I am using a Shuttle case with the heat tubes and radiator with one extra fan on the front panel to cool the case and supply.
I was wondering if the trunk needs to be ventilated at all. It would be a great heat trap in the summer.

I have my carputer in the glove box. The neat part is that my Saab 9-5 has cold A/C air in there. Only problem is when engine is off... gets quite hot in that small space.

Buy a few heatpipes and transfer the heat to the car's underside. How about that?

Oh, and if you find a shop that sells bulk heatpipes, please, post it here

Your car already has a massive radiator to cool the engine. If it's good enough for the engine, it must be good enough for a piddly little CPU... Get some liquid coolers for your cpu and vid card and hook 'em up to the car!

Edit: Bounus - don't even need to spend the bucks on a fluid pump - the car already has one!

WRONG!

The radiator in a car cools the engine coolant to a temperature that's sufficient to cool the engine. You're talking about 150-180 Farenheight.
That's WAY too hot for a CPU to operate.

Now if you're giving this advice to a n00b to see them fry CPUs repeatedly, that's one thing...
