Looking into finally making hardware purchases, but having trouble deciding what route I want to take based on price / quality.
What I'm debating between is the following 1Ghz, 60gig, 256MB memory systems:
MP3Car.Com's Custom Car Computer 3688 (~$550 after adding in an OPUS 150W instead of the M1-ATX) --- wondering if the 3688 system can even use the OPUS
MP3Car.Com's Custom Car Computer OPUS (~$750 including the OPUS 150W) --- very expensive, but the best of the bunch
Building my own standard size system (~$450 including the OPUS 150W) --- cheapest, and I've got room in my Tahoe, but wondering if the OPUS can handle all of the standard size power requirements
Really I guess the question I'm asking is -- does using a standard size system have any real drawbacks other than being about twice as big as a mini system?
Thanks for ALL of the help guys!
and the size issue only comes into play if your car is terribly small. i know in our van, the space behind the dash is big enough to fit a micro-atx system and then some. so a standard system is no problem for me and is in fact the direction im going for.
